Nicaragua Flights
Flying from London to Nicaragua
Holidays to Nicaragua are an undoubted adventure but, as with many great adventures, getting there in the first place isn’t always easy.
Accordingly, flight options to Nicaragua are surprisingly limited with just one international airport in the country, Managua, and no direct flights from anywhere in Europe.
Most visitors to Nicaragua from the UK fly via the USA, generally either Miami or Houston. Where possible, clients can connect straight through the same day although, at times, it may be necessary to overnight in the US on the outbound sector before continuing one’s journey the following morning.

As with the vast majority of flights to the Caribbean & Florida, most outbound flights operate during the day, with return flights operating overnight.
Please note that, if flying via the USA (even with an immediate connection), UK passports holders will require either an ESTA or full US visa.
As an alternative to flying via the US, and as a possible Multi Country holiday, it is also possible to fly to Nicaragua with Aeromexico from Heathrow via Mexico City.
Should clients wish to arrange their own flights to Nicaragua, we are more than happy to take care of the ground arrangements.
No matter which option you choose, your holiday will be fully financially protected under either our ATOL or ABTOT bonds.
United – Heathrow to Managua via Houston
United Airlines offers daily flights from Heathrow (and occasionally other UK airports) to Houston as well as onward flights to Managua in Nicaragua.
On occasion, it may be necessary to overnight in Houston on the outbound leg before continuing to Managua the following morning. There are numerous hotel options at or near Houston airport.
Aircraft type from Heathrow to Houston varies but will generally be either a 777 or 787 widebody with a choice of cabin.

Aeromexico – Heathrow to Managua via Mexico City
Aeromexico offer near daily flights from Heathrow to Mexico City as well as, currently, one daily flight between Mexico City and Managua.
As these two flights don’t always sync very well, we generally only recommend this option for clients wishing to spend a few days with a Mexico City stopover.
It is also a sensible option for travellers who either wish or need to travelling via the US, perhaps because of ESTA or Visa complications.
Unlike flights via the US, both legs between Heathrow & Mexico City currently involve overnight flights.
Aeromexico flights between London & Mexico City are generally operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with a choice of 2 cabins.
