Yemaya Reefs
The Corn Islands, Nicaragua
Small Beach
Situated on the northern tip of Little Corn Island, Yemaya Reefs is a small, barefoot-luxury beach hotel in a truly idyllic setting.
Boasting swaying palm trees, a sandy white beach and turquoise waters, Yemaya Reefs ticks all the requisite boxes for the quintessential, tropical hideaway.
Not only does it benefit from a beautiful setting on Otto Beach – Little Corn’s loveliest beach – but the hotel itself has been designed to fully complement its natural surroundings, with the reception and breezy restaurant flanked on either side by individual, casita-style accommodation.
In total Yemaya Reefs features 16 casitas, comprising 11 Classic Casitas and 5 Luxury Casitas. All the casitas feature a/c, ceiling fan, terrace and mini-fridge.
Classic Casitas come with a king size bed, single bed and pull out bed, with a maximum capacity of 4 guests, ideal for families. The Luxury Casitas are very much aimed at couples, feature a king size bed, have a capacity of 2 guests and, in addition to all the same facilities of the Classic Casitas, boast their own ocean view, plunge pools.
While the hotel’s restaurant isn’t particularly large, it benefits from beautiful ocean views, especially from its open air deck at the front.

Cuisine reflects the Afro-Caribbean roots of the Corn Islands with a natural emphasis on fresh seafood and revolving daily specials. Should you prefer to dine in the privacy of your own casita, room service is also available.
In addition to the main restaurant / bar which is open 7 days a week, the ‘Rumboat’ on the beach serves light bites and drinks and is open during the day, Thursday through Sunday.
While Yemaya Reefs may not be awash with facilities, that is not to say that guests are short of options when it comes to activities.
For those who enjoy watersports, the hotel offers kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling equipment. The hotel also has its own boats and can therefore arrange trips to more distant reefs.
Back on land, Yemaya Reefs also positions itself as a Wellness resort, dedicated to nurturing mind, body and spirit. Accordingly, the hotel offers both yoga sessions (they have their own Yoga Shala) and a variety of massage treatments.
Guests staying at Yemaya Reefs will be met at the airport on Big Corn Island and transferred to the nearby dock from where it is a 30-minute private boat ride directly to the hotel.
