Hotel Victoriano

Covered throughout in old-fashioned, wooden cladding and a combination of wooden floors and cool tiles, the Hotel Victoriano is one of the few reminders that San Juan del Sur was once connected to the west of the United States by boat.

While the hotel is separated from the beach by a road, it’s never particularly busy and the views over the bay out to sea are almost entirely uninterrupted. This is one of the best places in San Juan del Sur to experience its famous sunsets.

There are just 17 rooms, all tastefully furnished with private bathrooms, a/c, tv, fridge and safe. The standout options are the 4 sea facing rooms (especially those located on the upper floor) which, in addition to enjoying lovely views, also have a small balcony.

Facilities of the Hotel Victoriano include a small swimming pool, again with views over the bay, as well as a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is included in the price and is served on the outdoor terrace.

With so many bars and restaurants located within easy walking distance of the hotel, including several directly on the beach, most guests choose to sample the wide variety of cuisines on offer locally.
