Hotel Los Balcones
Leon, Nicaragua
Heritage
Located a short walk north east of Leon’s historic main square and cathedral, Hotel Los Balcones, is a small, friendly and characterful hotel.
Dating back to the early 19th century, and converted from a colonial-era home, this historic property exudes the feel of traditional inn.
The main reception is located off the main street and, next to that, is the hotel’s small bar and restaurant where the included breakfast is served.

Beyond that is an open air courtyard with, to one side, a small swimming pool with plenty of shade.
Within both the ground floor courtyard and upper floor terrace, there is plenty of seating available for clients to relax with a good book.
There are just 16 rooms in total, all furnished in a traditional colonial style and featuring private bathrooms, a/c, tv, a choice of 1, 2 or 3 beds and, in most, a small balcony overlooking the street below.
Due to its location in a relatively busy part of Leon, the Hotel Los Balcones is impacted by a degree of street noise. However, this noise is minimal at night while the internal courtyard manages to block out most of the noise throughout the day.
