Serenity Glamping Camp
Riviera Maya, Mexico
Under Canvas
Serenity Glamping Camp offers a near unique alternative to other accommodation options along the coast, with spacious, comfortable glamping tents just a short walk from the lovely beach.
Glamping by the beach
Located a short drive south of Playa del Carmen at Xpu Ha, the wonderful beach here remains, for now at least, less developed than most of the Riviera Maya and is one of the few places along the coast that retains a degree of local flavour.
Serenity Glamping Camp is set back a short walk from the beach and is surrounded by dense, tropical foliage that helps to lend a high degree of privacy to the tented accommodation.
In total there are 31 tents, comprising 5 different categories. All tents are simply but eclectically furnished and come with ensuite bathrooms, a/c, terrace, hammock, wooden furniture, black-out curtains, safe, mini-fridge and wifi.
The Jacuzzi Bliss & Harmony King tents are very much geared towards couples with king sized beds and terraces surrounded by lush foliage. As the name suggests, the Jacuzzi Bliss tents also feature an outdoor jacuzzi.
Families looking to share under the same canvas can choose between the Harmony Family, Harmony Royal Family or The Lodge which can sleep up to 6 people.
Within the Serenity Glamping Camp, the Mystic restaurant is located under a giant awning and serves up a cold buffet breakfast as well as a diverse range of Mexican, international and fusion dishes for lunch and dinner.
Next to the restaurant / bar is an attractive, curved swimming pool while the small spa also features a number of treatments. Yoga is also available
The beach is just a short walk from the property and is home to the Serenity Beach Club with comfortable day beds, parasols and a palapa style bar / restaurant serving light meals and drinks. Please note that the Beach Club is open to non-residents and can therefore get busy, especially at the weekend.
Opinion: We would view Serenity Glamping Camp as somewhere clients may wish to experience for a few days, either before or after a touring itinerary of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Although it can be enjoyed year-round, it is possibly best enjoyed during the cooler, drier months from November through April.
