Hotel Hacienda Merida

Housed in a traditional, mid 19th century colonial home, the Hotel Hacienda Merida slightly belies its city centre location and size with an internal garden and small swimming pool, the ideal fall back after a day spent exploring the many sites of the city and its surrounding environs.

In total, the property features just 14 rooms but 4 different categories – Small double, Standard, Executive & Suite. All rooms are tastefully decorated in natural, neutral towns and reflect and respect the building’s historic legacy. Please note however that only 1 of the rooms (an Executive category room) has twin beds.

A delicious local breakfast is included in the price and, subject to the weather, is generally served al fresco besides the pool. Please note however that, due to its size, there is no in-house restaurant at the hotel. There are, of course, numerous restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel and the always helpful and friendly staff are more than happy to make recommendations.

While the Hotel Hacienda Merida doesn’t feature a restaurant, it does have a fully stocked bar so, whether you’re relaxing by the pool or preparing to go out in the evening, something cold is always close at hand.

Next door to the hotel is its sister property, Hotel Hacienda Merida VIP, with slightly more luxurious accommodation (which we can also book). Please note that there are developing plans to merge the two hotels into a single property over the course of 2022/23 although any disruption will be kept to a minimum.
