The Hotel Caribe is one of the most centrally located hotels in Merida and is housed in an attractive, colonial-era building.
Entering the Hotel Caribe from tiny Parque Hidalgo, guests are immediately faced with the large, open-air courtyard around which the hotel in built.
With plenty of natural light and broad passageways, the Hotel Caribe has a wonderful feeling of space and tranquillity, despite its otherwise busy location.
At the hotel’s entrance, facing the courtyard is an open-air bar and restaurant while on the upper floor, with direct views across the rooftops to the city’s Ildefonso Cathedral, is a small pool.
The Hotel Caribe has 53 rooms in total, covering a range of categories. The cheapest, Economic rooms are somewhat small so we recommend upgrading to either the Standard or, better still, Superior rooms.
