Explorean Kohunlich
Kohunlich, Mexico
All Inclusive
The Explorean Kohunlich is an All Inclusive hotel with a difference in that it is nowhere near a beach. Rather, the hotel is set amidst the jungles of southern Quintana Roo and within walking distance of the Mayan ruins of Kohunlich.
One of the most isolated hotels in the Yucatan Peninsula, the Explorean Kohunlich is a stylish, contemporary property that is approached down an unmade road that links the Mayan ruins to the main highway.
At the heart of the hotel is a beautiful infinity pool with views over the jungle together with a hot-tub and large open-air bar / restaurant.
Facilities at the Explorean Kohunlich are deliberately limited – nature is the main draw here – with the KI’OL Spa being the standout feature. Ki’ol means ‘to enjoy’ in Mayan and it is local traditions, such as ‘Temazcal’ that form the basis of the vast majority of the treatments on offer.
The All Inclusive package includes all meals and drinks at the hotel together with one included activity / tour, such as an escorted cycling trip, per day. Please note, if you only plan on spending the night here, you may not have time for this activity.
Accommodation at the Explorean Kohunlich consists of 40 spacious bungalows, decorated with a nod to Mayan traditions and all featuring a large terrace.
