Hacienda San Jose

If you can’t bear the thought of leaving the hacienda during your stay, you’re probably not alone. In addition to the extensive gardens and grounds which you are free to explore on foot or by bike, the Hacienda San Jose boasts a beautiful swimming pool and luxurious spa.

As befits such a small, personal hotel, drinks and meals can be served pretty much anywhere you wish although the restaurant is well worth a visit, located in what was originally the factory and is now an open-sided terrace. Meals reflect both local and international tastes with many of the organic ingredients grown on the estate or nearby.

Accommodation comprises 11 rooms and 4 villas, almost all of which offer high ceilings with exposed beams and rafters, huge wooden doors, beds and furniture made from dark, tropical wood and cool, tiled floors. All rooms also come with their own hammock while some also feature a small plunge pool.

If you really want to treat yourself, the 4 villas are designed to resemble traditional dwellings, are even larger than the already spacious rooms and just as atmospheric.
