How To Book
All Beyond The Ordinary holidays are subject to availability and therefore cannot be confirmed immediately.
To proceed with a booking, we require an initial deposit (which will vary from booking to booking but which will always be £250 per person or more) plus any additional, upfront costs required by our suppliers. These will vary from destination to destination and from holiday to holiday and will be advised to you at the time of booking.
Deposits can be paid by debit or credit card or by direct bank transfer. We do not accept payment by cheque for deposits.
If you are booking your international flights with us, in the majority of cases we are able to hold seats without any obligation until anything up to 4 weeks before departure. However, some airlines / fare types require that airline reservations be paid for in full and ticketed at the time of booking and are then non-changeable / non-refundable. Again, you will be notified of the conditions relating to your airline reservation at the time of booking.
Having received your deposit, we shall send your itinerary to our in-country agents to check the availability (hotels, domestic flights etc) of your chosen itinerary.
At the time you pay your deposit we shall also email you an Acknowledgement of Booking together with an ATOL certificate (for holidays that include international flights).
If all aspects of your itinerary – hotels, domestic flights etc – are available, a Confirmation Invoice will be issued. Please note that, once a Confirmation Invoice has been issued, a legal contract exists between you, the client, and Beyond The Ordinary Ltd. Please see our Booking Conditions for more information.
If there is a problem with availability on your chosen itinerary, we shall contact you a soon as possible to discuss potential alternatives. Please note that these alternatives may result in the price of your holiday going up or down.
If you are unhappy with our suggested alternatives, for whatever reason, you are free to cancel the booking and your deposit will be refunded in full. Please note however, if you have already agreed to commit to a flight reservation (where full payment is required at the time of booking), the flight element of your booking with us will be non-refundable / non-changeable.
Payment of the final balance of your holiday is due 8 – 10 weeks before departure. This final payment can be by debit or credit or bank transfer or by cheque.
Payment By Cards: There are no charges for paying any part of your holiday by personal UK debit or credit cards. Payment by any commercial credit card, or any non-UK debit / credit card will incur a charge of 2.50%.
Non-UK Residents: A minimum 25% of the cost of the holiday must be paid by bank transfer.
