Hacienda Mil Amores

Having turned into the valley in which the hotel is located, visitors might be forgiven for wondering just how long they have nodded off for because the scene one is presented with comes straight from a European chocolate box.

Think well-fed dairy cows and sheep munching on lush, green grass, horses frolicking in the fields, white picket fences……

A small, working farm near the tiny village of Acul, the Hacienda Mil Amores is perched on one side of a steep valley that, at times, is shrouded in mist.

Meals are served in the main hacienda building – inside or out depending on the weather – while accommodation comprises a number of rustic but charming individual cabins, all with a degree of space between them.

Although nothing fancy, rooms are all ensuite, comfortable and nicely furnished with local throws, furniture etc.
