There are no genuine, top-end hotels on the island of Flores with the Hotel Isla de Flores being the best option for anyone who wants to be based on the island and to be able to stroll to shops, bars and restaurants.
A small, friendly hotel with something of a Mediterranean vibe
Set back a block from the lake, and close to the town’s main square, the Hotel Isla de Flores is a small, attractive hotel with whitewashed walls and blue shutters that give the property a slightly Mediterranean feel.
There is a tiny pool on the rooftop, as well as sundeck, with fantastic views of Lake Peten while, on the ground floor, there is a nice restaurant, bar and small shop.
As with the rest of the hotel, the ** rooms feel fresh and are nicely appointed. There are a handful of slightly larger Junior Suites while some rooms also have a shared balcony.
