Memories Jibacoa

Located just 50 minutes’ drive from Havana, yet in the middle of the countryside, Memories Jibacoa is located on a lovely, crescent shaped bay banked by tree-clad hills.

There is just one other, low-key hotel on the beautiful, picture postcard Arroyo Bermejo beach which is also one of the only places in Cuba where one can snorkel straight from the beach.

The entire complex consists of attractive, red-tiled buildings, no more than 2 storeys high, all dotted around more than 10 acres of beautifully tended, tropical gardens.

The All Inclusive package at the hotel includes all meals and snacks, a 24-hour beverage service, daily sports activities, non-motorised watersports and evening entertainment.

The hotel has 250 rooms making it, by Cuban standards, relatively small. There are 3 categories of rooms of which we recommend either the cheapest, the Garden View rooms, or the Ocean View rooms which are available at a supplement.

All rooms are spacious and well equipped although the standard rooms are perhaps in need of an update. For this reason, we would suggest upgrading to Diamond Club rooms which, in addition to being rather more up-to-date and contemporary, also come with additional guest benefits throughout the hotel.

For guests who like to keep connected while on holiday, the hotel now provides wifi for a small fee, payable locally.

Guests at Memories Jibacoa must be 16 years of age or older and, while the hotel is far from being luxurious, its convenient location, beautiful setting and great value for money make it deservedly popular.
