Thought to date back to 1891, and once the home of a successful local family, Camila’s Hostal is distinguished by its bright yellow, wooden cladding, ornate lambrequins and first floor balcony. If you didn’t know otherwise, you might think you were in New Orleans and not Cuba.

Located towards the tip of Punta Gorda, with views over Cienfuegos Bay to the front of the property and direct access to the Bay at the rear, not to mention in its own jetty, Camila’s Hostal scores about as highly as is possible for location and is the ideal spot to while away your time simply soaking up the views.

The sun deck at the rear of the property has plenty of comfortable seating for guests to relax while the Bay itself is also safe and clean for swimming.

The 4 bedrooms are all stylishly decorated and appointed to hotel standards while 2 of the rooms are duplex in layout with beds on both the upper and lower levels, making them a popular choice for families with younger children.

As well as being a casa particular Camila’s Hostal is also a restaurant that is open to non-guests, again with beautiful waterfront views.

Not surprisingly, Camila’s Hostal is one of the most popular casa particulares in Cienfuegos and should therefore be booked as far in advance as possible.
