A guide to accommodation options in Cayos de Villa Clara
Where to stay in Cayos de Villa Clara
Accommodation can be split between the three neighbouring islands, all of which are linked to the mainland by the same causeway. However, just to confuse matters, because Cayo Santa Maria is the most developed and best known of the islands, some hotels that include ‘Cayo Santa Maria’ in their name are actually located on Cayo Las Brujas.
Cayo Las Brujas – Once home to just the small, spartan Villa Las Brujas, Cayo Las Brujas has seen a spate of hotel openings in recent years but, oddly, most use Cayo Santa Maria in their name.
The best of these new hotels is undoubtedly the Angsana Cayo Santa Maria although, perhaps more noteworthy is Hotel Las Salinas, one of the very few beach hotels in Cuba that doesn’t operate on an All Inclusive basis.

Cayo Ensenachos – The middle of the three islands is home to just a single hotel, the Iberostar Ensenachos.
Cayo Santa Maria – While Cayo Santa Maria has its share of vast resorts, it is also home to two of Cuba’s smallest and most appealing All Inclusive resorts (ie circa 100 rooms), the Melia Buenavista & Royalton Cayo Santa Maria. If you want something a little more value-orientated, we would suggest the Sol Cayo Santa Maria. If you want something large, luxurious and ever so slightly bling, look no further than the new, Paradisus Los Cayos.
